The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office has contracted with the City of Holtville to provide a professional police service for the city since January 2010. Deputies are assigned full time to the City of Holtville and are supervised by a Sergeant, who has the title of Police Chief. A shoulder patch was recently designed to show the close connection between the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Holtville. Along with participating at public functions such as Farmer Markets, parades, and School functions; Deputies also provide informational presentations on drug abuse, identity theft scams, and social media awareness. Traffic accident reports and violations of driving under the influence are handled by deputies assigned to the city. Animal Control remained under the control of the city however, deputies respond to criminal violations of incidents involving animals.
Vehicle releases are needed for the tow company to release the vehicle. They can be obtained at the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Records Department at a Cost of $20.00. You will need a valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and a valid registration.

Crime Reports are obtained at the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Records department. Persons, who request a copy of a report, must submit a report request form and must allow at least ten business days from the day the request form is submitted. You can obtain information at 442-265-2070.
